As a user, I should be able to use the app with a minimized floating window

Currently, the app can only be used with expanded mode taking a large screen state.

The user should have a small floating view to record test sessions on small screens.

This feature was half done before the 1.0 release. Check old code for reference.

Use this issue to test the full app flow in the wheel mode.
