If condition with javascript is not executing the content when evaluates as true

When in a template:

1. Using the If condition with javascript functions, like indexOf
2. And the content being evaluated has a single quote in the middle of the text (example: didn't)

The output:

1. Although evaluating the if condition as true
2. Does not perform the content of the if statement
