When a project has a large number of versions, the Affects Versions field in defects created is not populated

Description
If a project has a large number of versions, Affects Versions will not be automatically be populated when creating a defect from a test execution.

Pre-conditions

Have a high number of versions (tested with 700)

How to reproduce

1. Create a test with a few fix versions
2. Execute the test in a new test execution (this will retain the fix versions)
3. Create a Defect inside the test run

Actual result/Attachments

the Affects Version/s field is not populated.

Expected result

The Fix versions of the Test Execution should show in the Affects Version/s field.

Workaround
Manually inserting the versions.
