Description:

Xray Custom fields set as required are ignored when creating issues via the Jira Create button.

Pre-conditions: N/A

How to reproduce

1. Go to the Field Configuration and make Xray type Custom fields like (Test Plans associated with Test) as Required.
2. Use Jira Create button to create an issue without providing the value to the Xray type Custom field, which was made as required in the earlier step.

Actual result/Attachments:

Jira shows that the field is required with a * sign, but the issue is created with an empty value in it. 

Expected result:

Jira should not allow you to create an issue with no value in the Xray type custom field.

Workaround:

  Use Validators under Workflows to restrict issue creation. You can use apps like JMWE.
