Reporting for X-ray

I see that X-ray is working towards providing better reporting mechanisms inside Jira or through exports. I have a opinion that reporting of x-ray could be sourced to other tools like ELK stack/Grafana via api's. I see that many organisations are trying to use these tools for reporting. Instead of focussing of building reports within the tool if the reports are outside then it will provide a much more collaborative environment among the users of X-ray to share reporting mechanisms

Building good reporting mechanisms within the tool should take a lot of time I expect. Therefore sourcing the data to reporting tools will make X-ray much better and more attractive to people coming from HP ALM world.

The above mechanism is partially adopted by HP ALM Octance(HP's new gen test management tool). HP ALM Octance uses elasticsearch for indexing and reporting on time series data
