Ability to add gates between test steps

The ability to add gates between steps in a test plan would be helpful.  Some of our tests are akin to navigating a highway map.  If for example you need to use three distinct roads, in order, to reach your destination and you can't find the second road that should be two test case failures.  Presently in our scheme,  we can fail the second test case ( not find our road ) but still pass the third case ( Final destination )
