xray does not show tests and test executions under project overview

see the linked ticket that was filed into the atlassian system. It took them a while to figure out that you might be involved, and to let me know that!.

This is my original bug report:
Using an existing jira project, after defining some xray tests and
test executions, and after running tests executions, I would expect
to see the list of them under the project overview >> Test executions
tab. But I see only the filter form.
Same thing with Project overview >> tests and test sets.
This problem does not occur with the Requirements Coverage tab.
When I play with Version Analysis, if I switch to a specific version
of the project, jira/xray switches the view to requirements coverage.
This occurs both using Chrome on MacOs and Firefox on Linux.
I thought that Jira Capture interfered somehow with xray, but this
appears not to be the case because after disabling jira capture the
same unexpected behavior occurs.
When viewing the Project overview >> test executions page, if I look
at the browser inspector I see a number of Javascript errors in file
batch.js "Uncaught TypeError" dealing with "xrayDataTable not a
function".

And these are two screenshots, one that shows an existing test execution object, and one that shows that no test executions are found in the project overview tab.
