Description
Description
Permissions to inline execute a Test are different when starting the execution from a Test or from a Test Execution.
In theory, to run a Test, the user only needs to browse and resolve permissions. Nevertheless, when executing inline from a Test, it is necessary to have EDIT permission to the Test Execution as well. When executing from a Test Execution, it is not needed.
Pre-conditions
- Configure a workflow status for the Test Execution issuetype where a user has permission to resolve issues but not to EDIT issues using workflow' properties.
How to reproduce
- Create a Test
- Create a Test Execution and set the workflow status mentioned above in pre-conditions.
- Associate the Test Execution to the Test
- Try to execute inline from the Test Execution - Success.
- Try to execute inline from the Test - Error.
Actual result/Attachments
In the Test Execution, the EDIT permission is not necessary for the inline execution, while when inline executing from a Test, the EDIT permission is necessary.
Expected result
The behavior should be consistent. So even without EDIT permission to Test Executions issues, must be possible to execute inline from the Test as well.
