Xray application not updating to 6.5.0-j9 on Jira 9.7.1

Description:
We are not able to upgrade to 6.5.0-j9 on Jira server 9.7.1 from the update button in Jira admin >> manage apps. 
We get a successful message but says incompatible. 
Either we have to uninstall and re-install the application or manually upload the Xray jar file on the instance.

How to reproduce

1. install Jira server 9.7.1 and Xray 6.5.0
2. Go to Jira admin >> manage apps >> Xray 
3. Click on update button.
4. Installed but incompatible flag appears and sometimes no flag appears. 
5.  The application does not get updated.

Actual result/Attachments

Expected result:
The application should get updated.
