    Description

Description: Users(Testers) use the parameter value list quite often during testing. The testers need access to (Space settings) just to add or manage parameters. This is not ideal because it gives them access to a lot of other settings they should not be changing in space settings.

User friction: Elevated permissions has to be provided to the users just to edit the Parameter value lists.

Steps to reproduce (right now) / Actual Result: Space Settings >> Apps >> Xray Settings >> Parameter value lists

IMPACT: There is a constant risk that testers might accidentally change other settings while trying to manage parameters. This creates concern and hesitation, as even small, unintentional changes could lead to misconfigurations and impact other users or workflows.

What would improve if solved: If this is easier to access directly from the testing board or outside of the space settings, testers could work more independently and get things done faster without needing elevated access to Space Settings.

Impact on stakeholders: Team/Organization: Potential for misconfigurations affecting workflows and stability

Current workaround:  The only option is to give testers access to Space settings so they can manage Parameter value lists.

CONTEXT & EXAMPLES: Since parameter values are used frequently, this comes up again and again during testing. It is not a one-off issue it is part of the daily workflow.

Concrete example: A tester is given access to Space settings just to add a parameter value Lists. While navigating the settings, they accidentally change an unrelated configuration, which affects other users or workflows.

      Workaround risk:

      • Someone might accidentally change unrelated settings
      • It increases the chance of misconfiguration
      • It goes against good security practices
