When clicking CTRL + Left mouse click multiple tabs open

Description

When using the CTRL + Left Click shortcut (intended to open a link in a single new background tab), the browser unexpectedly opens multiple duplicate or distinct tabs at once.

How to reproduce

1. Launch the browser and navigate to any web page containing hyperlinks.
2. Hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard.
3. Left-click a single link once.

Actual result/Attachments

Multiple tabs open simultaneously for a single click action.

Expected result

A single new tab should open for the selected link instead of opening multiple tabs.

Workaround

Right-click the link and select "Open link in new tab" from the context menu
