Test Case Importer does not recognize the “Test Step Assignee” Custom Field (User Picker) when importing test steps

How to reproduce

1. Go to Project Settings → Test Step Fields
2. Create a new Test Step Field with:

• Type: User Picker
• Required: Yes

1. In a CSV file, add this field (using User ID, email, or username as values)
2. Go to the Testing Board
3. Open the Test Case Importer
4. Attach the CSV and map the fields
5. Run the import

1. If we add the same User as a Test Assignee in the CSV, the user is recognized, and the CSVis is imported correctly

Actual result/Attachments

Import fails with errors, even though the specified users exist.

Expected result

The Test Case Importer should recognize valid users in the “Test Step Assignee” User Picker field and import the test cases without errors.
