Updating the “Test Step Assignee” (User Picker) in a Test Step shows an “Invalid User” error until the page is refreshed

How to reproduce

1. Create an issue of type Test
2. In Project Settings → Test Step Fields, create a new field:

• Type: User Picker
• Required: Yes

1. Open the Test and add a new Test Step
2. Select a Test Step Assignee and save the Test Step
3. Edit the Test Step and change the Test Step Assignee
4. Error message appears: “Invalid User
5. After refreshing the page, the user is displayed correctly

Actual result/Attachments

Expected result

The Test Step Assignee should update without showing an error, and the new user should be displayed immediately without needing a refresh.
